It is time to carve out some reading time! NIST just published a 2nd draft of special publication 800-63 v4, with guidance for authentication, identity proofing and federation. Lest you assume this is same-old same-old, I am told there are some goodies that newly represent our industry's fast changing best practices. While comments aren't due until October, I found last time that my brain didn't recognize the significance of what was there (or not there) immediately, I had to sit with it for a while.
