Pascal Paillier

Dr. Pascal Paillier is a prominent cryptographer and the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Zama, a Paris-based company specializing in Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) solutions. With over 25 years of experience in cryptographic research and innovation, he has contributed significantly to fields such as embedded security, whitebox cryptography, and homomorphic encryption. Dr. Paillier is one of the most widely cited researchers in FHE, with more than 12,000 citations and over 60 academic papers to his name. He earned an engineering degree and a PhD in cryptography from Télécom ParisTech.

Before joining Zama, Dr. Paillier served as the CEO of CryptoExperts and was the Head of Cryptography Innovation at Gemalto. He is also an active member of the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR) and contributes to ISO standardization efforts in cryptography. Among his achievements is receiving the "Best Paper Award" at Asiacrypt 2005.123
