Timing is Everything. It will soon look like the 2 "snap" elections and 1 presidential debate initiated sooner than expected respectively by Rishi Sunak, Emmanuel Macron and Joe Biden within an interval of less than 3 weeks will all have backfired pretty badly. Fun fact: "snap" is also the sound made by a branch breaking from a tree. The French have a saying that "you should not be sawing off the very branch on which you are currently sitting." Which is exactly what all 3 initiators of these "snap moments" seem to have done. In technology areas impacting human beings, I think that "move fast and break things" is also a bad idea. Training AI models stealthily on human-created copyrighted data, because it is more expedient and a lot cheaper than doing it legally, will come back to bite a lot of companies, big and small.
