Patricia Malone Smith is the Director of Corporate Relations at the Urban League of Middle Tennessee (ULMT), not the Workforce Development Manager.12 In her role, she is responsible for overseeing workforce corporate interactions with external stakeholders, corporate engagement, volunteers, growth, and stewarding corporate partners to participate in the Urban League Advancing Workforce Equity Initiative.1

Prior to her current position, Malone Smith oversaw the Workforce Development Department at ULMT, where she provided assistance to individuals through the second chance program and helped them obtain livable wages and sustainable employment.1

Malone Smith has an extensive background in various roles, including:

  • Working for the State of Ohio for 17 years in departments such as Human Resources, Small and Minority Business, Community Block Grants, and Training and Development
  • Serving as Executive Director for two school districts
  • Assistant Center Director at FiftyForward Bordeaux
  • Various Human Resource positions across industries
  • Six years of service in the Air National Guard1

Her educational background includes:

  • Master of Science Degree in Administration (focus on Human Resource Management) from Central Michigan University
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Development from Wilberforce University
  • Associate of Liberal Arts degree from Columbus State Community College
  • Certified Business Advisor License from the University of Toledo
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from the University of South Florida Muma College of Business
  • Certified Leadership Coach with the John Maxwell team1

Malone Smith is actively involved in numerous community organizations and holds leadership positions in several of them, including:

  • Executive Director for Greater Love Kingdom Building Church
  • Immediate Past President for the National Hook-up of Black Women Nashville Chapter
  • National Secretary for the National Hook-up of Black Women Inc.
  • 1st Vice President of Programs for the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Metro Nashville Chapter
  • President of Urban League Guild of Middle TN
  • Vice President of Nashville Cable Programs
  • President of Tennessee Correctional Education Association1

She has received recognition for her work, including the 2019 Dr. Katherine Brown (KYP) Caregivers Award and the Nashville Cable 2022 Civic Outreach Award.1
