Highlights
We have a rare opportunity to join our amazing GroupM Affiliate team at the Manager level! Seriously - we haven't hired externally for someone at the manager level in 2 years as we usually promote from within our team.
This role will get to work on an exciting Creator affiliate program as well as a traditional affiliate program for a fashion brand.

EMARKETER and Max Willens released their Affiliate Marketing Consumer Attitudes 2024 report today. Having personally been in the industry and educating people outside of the "affiliate bubble" about affiliate for over a decade, I find it rewarding and exciting to see consumer attitudes shifting in such a positive way.
Go read the article as Max creates great content, but a few of the call outs that I enjoyed seeing include:
"More than half of US consumers are aware of affiliate marketing" and "affiliate marketing is viewed as one of the least intrusive forms of advertising." This speaks to one of the most powerful elements of the channel - allowing affiliates, publishers, and creators to speak AUTHENTICALLY to their audience about a brand or product that they love. A truly diverse affiliate program can reach a large audience of people in a way that they enjoy being reached.
"Consumers run into affiliate marketing in many places." - This ties back into the challenge brands and agencies have in where to place their affiliate teams as the channel touches email, social, search, content, creator/influencer, fintech...the list goes on. I personally view "affiliate marketing" as less of a performance channel and more of a commerce engine and empowerment tool. This is also why affiliate marketers are talent unicorns not to be underestimated - we really do it all.
"The next generation of consumers view affiliate marketing favorably" and "they are (relatively) trusting of it." A large part of this has to do with that authenticity piece I mentioned earlier. As Max says, "Creators are the face of affiliate's future." To really take advantage of the next gen version of affiliate, brands will need to get out of their own way when it comes to creators and put more trust in their ability to speak to their own audiences while still abiding by rational guardrails and branding guidelines.
Just some of my two cents on this!
