Patricia Zermeno is a well-educated professional with a diverse academic background. She pursued a Doctor of Law (JD) Candidate at The Catholic University of America, a BS in Community and Regional Development at the University of California, Davis, and studies in Social Work at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and Chilean culture, society, and law at the University of Chile.

Throughout her career, Patricia has been involved in various organizations, holding roles such as Supervising Attorney at Centro Legal de la Raza, Temporary Staff Attorney at Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area, Staff Attorney/Clinical Supervisor at East Bay Community Law Center, Staff Attorney at Legal Services for Children, Justice AmeriCorps Fellow at Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), and Law Clerk at various establishments including Cornerstone Law Group and CPG Immigration Law Group. She has also served as a Bilingual Senior Paralegal at the United States Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, Special Litigation Section.

In addition to her legal roles, Patricia has gained experience in other areas such as being an Academic Mentor/Community Liaison at Tomorrow/Arbor Workforce Program, External Organizer at AFSCME Local 3299 and UHW/NUHW, and Director at Associated Students Promoting Alternative Publications Equal Resources (ASPAPERs).
