Patrick McNamara

Director of International Studies at University of Nebraska at Omaha

Dr. Patrick McNamara, with a Ph.D. in Public Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, has over 30 years of experience working with various organizations globally.

He has consulted with more than 300 organizations and conducted workshops across the US, Afghanistan, India, Israel, Japan, Morocco, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Tajikistan, United Kingdom, and Vietnam.

Currently the Director of International Studies at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Dr. McNamara has held key positions such as Senior International Officer and Director of the Schwalb Center for Israel, Jewish Studies, and the Middle East.

His diverse professional background includes roles in community foundations, hate crimes projects, law firms, and the U.S. House of Representatives.

As the Executive Vice President for Initiatives of Change-USA, he focused on global trust-building initiatives. Dr. McNamara is also a Fulbright Specialist and has conducted research on water conflict and social entrepreneurship.

With academic expertise in conflict resolution, social entrepreneurship, and sustainable development, he founded Partners in Change LLC, offering organizational strategy, leadership coaching, and conflict management services.

Dr. McNamara has been instrumental in managing grant projects totaling millions of dollars in Southeast Asia, Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, the Balkans, and Central Asia, focusing on areas like education, water cooperation, and peacebuilding.

His educational background includes a Ph.D. in Public Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, a Master of Science in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University, and a B.A. in Religion from Swarthmore College.
