Many filmmakers still don't get how AI can HELP them.

How it can shave days off their week.

And I get it because it's scary being a filmmaker and seeing what OpenAI's Sora can do, along with all of these other AI tools... it's a mix of daunting and overwhelm.

Well, to show what happens when you pair AI with a strong process, I asked the team to do a challenge...

I gave them just 48 hours to find and tell a remarkable story.

The kicker?

I wasn't going to touch a camera or be a part of it AND Rae, my EA, would develop the creative (a real test if our EDU and tools work).

This is what they were able to create in just 48 hours.

It's my hope that this challenge helps open some filmmakers' eyes to how AI can help them save time and push their thinking. Together, these things can make them more competitive and profitable in a period of rapid change.

Tired of clients balking at your rates?

Or, the dreaded, can you do it for X instead?

The reality is – increasing your value is much LESS about the camera, the lights, and the time you spend making the thing and much more about how you frame what you do.

This one mindset shift can dramatically increase your value in minutes.

It's the shift from time-based pricing to value-based pricing.

Relating what you do, as a filmmaker or creative, not to the time spent making the thing but to the VALUE it provides towards the client's end goals.

One is worth hundreds or thousands.

The other can be worth 10x or more.

While on Voavah, one of the world's most exclusive private islands, I was struck by the insight of just how different this same production would have been if I had approached it from a purely 'time' perspective.

Give it a watch and consider whether you're aligning what you do with the value you provide towards your client's goals.
