It was humbling to return to the University of Florida last week, nearly 25 years after beginning my career in sports as a student assistant with the Gators. To see the incredible progress in its facilities, campus and academics was striking, but most impressive was the quality and kindness of the people. UF leadership, staff, faculty and students could not have been more welcoming.
They set a first-class standard for how to treat alumni and, most especially, their families.
