He pursued his academic journey by studying MA and BSc in Geography at King's College London, and he also attended Ellesmere College.

Currently, Paul Baker holds the prestigious position of Chair of the ISSIG and serves as a Consultant Geographer and Chartered Geographer at the Geographical Association.

With a diverse professional background, he has held several key roles in various esteemed organizations. Previously, he was the Coordinator of School and Teen Expeditions from the UK at the Earthwatch Institute.

Paul Baker also served as the Geography Adviser to the IAPS and as the Chair of Governors at Dr South's Primary School in Islip.

His contributions extend to being the Honorary Secretary and Annual Dinner Organizer at the Rainforest Club, showcasing his commitment to environmental causes.

Moreover, he has been associated with the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) as a Fellow, Chartered Geographer, Council Member, and Education Committee Member, highlighting his dedication to geographical pursuits.

In his career, Paul Baker also served as the Former Head of Geography and Activities at the renowned Dragon School in Oxford, further solidifying his expertise in the field.
