Paul Barrett is the Chief Technology Officer for NETSCOUT's Enterprise and Federal Businesses, overseeing service assurance, cybersecurity, and DDOS products.
With over two decades of experience in network communications analysis, Paul has focused on voice and video quality perception, application health over IP networks, and cybersecurity.
Having joined NETSCOUT through the acquisition of Psytechnics Ltd in 2011, Paul served as Head of Engineering and later as CTO at Psytechnics, with previous roles at BT Labs working on voice transmission for GSM and 3GPP.
Paul's career spans more than 25 years in the IT industry, actively contributing to international standardization efforts and holding various leadership positions within ITU-T study groups.
As a named inventor on 20 patent applications, Paul is a Senior Member of the IEEE in the US, a Chartered Engineer, and a Member of the IET in the UK. He holds a master's degree in Electronic Systems Engineering from the University of York.
