Paul Hamidi

Senior Wetland & Soil Scientist at AECOM

Paul Hamidi is a highly experienced environmental scientist with a background in wetland delineation, soil survey, ecological inventory, and permitting across various states in the US.

With over 20 years of experience in both public and private sectors, Paul has worked with the US Army Corps of Engineers, the Natural Resources Conservation Service, the US Forest Service, and has been involved in large projects in energy, transportation, utilities, mining, and commercial industries.

Paul Hamidi holds a Master's degree in Forestry from The University of Montana, with a 4.0 GPA, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Forestry and Religious Studies from the same institution. He also pursued Theology studies at multiple theological seminaries.

He is a certified Professional Wetland Scientist since 2004 and a Certified Professional Soil Scientist since 2006. Paul has also taught soil science courses at the University of Montana and provided hydric soils training through NRCS and Corps of Engineers.

Currently, he serves as a Senior Wetland & Soil Scientist at AECOM, having previously held similar positions at URS Corporation, Habitat Ecology & Design, Pacific Rim Soil & Water, and as a Soil Scientist & Project Manager at the US Army Corps of Engineers.

His expertise includes wetland and habitat mitigation project design, NEPA/SEPA document preparation, and permitting at local, state, and federal levels. At the University of Montana, he instructed soil science courses and has a strong background in fish and wildlife evaluation.

With a diverse skill set and extensive experience in environmental science, Paul Hamidi is a valuable asset in the field of wetland delineation and soil science.
