Nine Four Ventures is pumped to announce its latest investment in Mia Share Inc.'s $6.5M Seed round, led by TTV Capital! Mia Share is tackling the trade labor shortage starting with FinTech. Here’s a little more about the company and opportunity:

Financial barriers often prevent applicants from pursuing trade and technical education given the lack of payment options and infrastructure available. Trade schools have been under invested in and overlooked by founders and investors for a long time relative to the four-year university market leaving an opportunity for technology to create meaningful, positive change.   Mia Share offers tuition payment management software for trade schools. It democratizes access by providing a menu of flexible payment options for applicants while streamlining back-office servicing for trade schools.   Although Mia Share is focused on tuition payments today, it aspires to standardize the back office “plumbing” of trade school financial services and provide a full-stack, end-to-end platform from application to enrollment, paying, servicing, and recruiting. This platform could be the backbone that will enable trade schools to operate more efficiently, offer more courses, expand classes, train more students, and ultimately get more skilled trades people into the workforce faster.    Big congrats from everyone at Nine Four Ventures to Joshua Haghani and the entire Mia Share team on this milestone! We’re excited to share Nine Four Ventures’ Annual PropTech Trends! It deep dives into the changes we think are in store for 2024 across the built world. We see a lot and picked a handful of trends that we felt offer some diversification of segments and industries.   Here are some key takeaways:

  • Back to the Grind: A great resetting for startup growth and valuation will give way to M&A and an older-school mindset for capital use and profitability.

  • Tension Between ESG Impacts and Financial Returns: Landlords are more focused on the bottom line, and many ESG initiatives get tougher to pencil in.

  • The Continued Evolution of InsurTech: Insurance continues to be a tough market, as many early public InsurTechs can attest to, but not all hope is lost.

  • Streamlining Capital’s Access to Different Asset Classes: Technology continues to open institutional capital to historically tougher-to-access asset classes.

  • Addressing the Trade Gap, Starting with FinTech: This problem isn’t new and isn’t close to being solved. Tech will help.

  • Playing Nice with Neighbors (...and How Nearshoring Might Help the US): Global conflict and uncertainty have US buyers of building materials on edge.   You can read the full report by clicking the following link to our Substack: bit.ly/3HkZcRx
