Professional Background

Paul Madott is a seasoned professional with an impressive trajectory in the world of sales, training, and business development. With over a decade of experience at Xerox Corporation, Paul has cultivated a reputation as an expert in sales strategy, team development, and training excellence. His journey is an inspiring testament to perseverance and finding one's true calling, especially in the competitive landscape of corporate environments.

Paul embarked on his professional journey after studying Economics at York University and Brebeuf College School. Although he left college after two years to pursue a career in Credit and Collections, his path took a transformative turn after facing a challenging period of unemployment. The six months of job searching not only tested his resilience but also opened his eyes to the world of sales—a field that reignited his professional ambitions.

In August 2002, Paul joined Xerox as a Sales Representative. Although he faced significant hurdles in his initial year, filled with tenacity and a commitment to learning, he quickly progressed in his career. By the third year, he achieved the prestigious President's Club status, a recognition awarded to top performers in the sales industry, and was promoted to Sales Manager. Despite his success, the managerial role didn’t resonate with him, leading him to explore other avenues within the company.

His passion for training led him to the role of National Sales Instructor, where he dedicated three years to developing new talent at Xerox New Hire School. This role allowed him to foster the development of future sales professionals, sharing his knowledge and experiences with eager learners. It was a perfect match for Paul’s skill set and passion for growth and training.

In his final two years at Xerox, he transitioned to manage the Production Division in Calgary. This move proved to be a dynamic change that reenergized him during a pivotal time in his life. However, by 2010, after nearly a decade with the company, Paul felt a growing disconnect with the technology he was representing. Embracing a spirit of entrepreneurship, he founded his own training company, EVEREST PERFORMANCE GROUP, allowing him to blend his love for training with a more personalized approach to business education.

Education and Achievements

Paul's educational background, which includes studies in Economics at York University and Brebeuf College School, laid a solid foundation for his analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Throughout his career, he has honed his skills, transforming challenges into opportunities.

In his sales career at Xerox, Paul not only achieved significant milestones, including the esteemed status of President's Club, but he also transitioned into leadership roles that allowed him to impact the sales process directly. His journey through varied positions at Xerox—from Sales Representative to Sales Manager, and eventually to National Sales Instructor—showcases his adaptability and commitment to lifelong learning.

As the founder of EVEREST PERFORMANCE GROUP, Paul has further elevated his profile as a business leader. His company specializes in delivering high-quality training designed to equip sales personnel with the necessary skills to excel in their roles. His transition from corporate life to entrepreneurship, although daunting, has proven to be a fulfilling venture, allowing him to craft tailored training programs that resonate with clients.
