Wow. Still catching my breath after an amazing couple of days in New York last week for the Altana Directions Summit, which brought together some of the most influential global leaders across supply chain policy, including former US Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta and Rob Silvers, Under Secretary for Policy at the US Department of Homeland Security. The topic at hand? Nothing less than the future of global commerce – how nations, corporations, and governments will respond to the realities of an increasingly destabilized world. One in which the effects of climate change are undeniably accelerating. Where the same technologies that promise solutions to an ever increasing and complex set of problems – also threaten to tear us further apart. Where the “peace dividend” has expired and global competition is fierce.   In the midst of this, we’re incredibly proud to be partnered with Altana Technologies and of the work they are doing to leverage big data and the power of AI for good: helping stakeholders take back command of the global supply chain, bolster resilience, and navigate to a more sustainable future.    As part of this mission, I’m also thrilled to share the recently announced partnership between Altana and Dataminr, one of the world’s leading AI companies. As Altana CEO Evan Smith noted: “This is a big deal: real-time, earth-scale, instantaneous event monitoring across the world’s only dynamic, intelligent map of the supply chain.”
