I worked on adapting an OSS perplexity clone toward using local sources instead of simply a Google search and talked a lot with Gary Kramlich and Joseph Murphy about the history of version control systems and Pidgin.
I recently streamed for the first time in a while learning about gedcom and writing a nextjs gedcom... only to realize generally the software around gedcom files are editors and not intuitive interfaces that export gedcom as a compatibility measure solely. I intend to make get more familiar with gedcom over the next weeks and then produce something others can use to track their family trees.
