Paul van Zyl is a prominent figure known for his work in transitional justice, human rights, and ethical fashion. He served as the Executive Secretary of South Africa's Truth and Reconciliation Commission and co-founded the International Centre for Transitional Justice, operating globally in countries with a history of human rights violations.

Paul is also recognized as the co-founder and CEO of Maiyet, an ethical luxury fashion brand collaborating with artisans worldwide to promote traditional design and culture. Additionally, he is a co-founder of The Conduit, a community hub fostering creativity and entrepreneurship for social impact.

With a rich educational background, Paul studied Global Leadership and Public Policy at Harvard University, holds a Master of Laws from New York University School of Law and Leiden University, and completed his Bachelor of Laws at the University of the Witwatersrand.

Throughout his career, Paul van Zyl has held key roles, including Director of the Transitional Justice Program at New York University, Executive Vice President at the International Center for Transitional Justice, and Associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP.

His contributions to various organizations as a keynote speaker, panelist, and leader highlight his dedication to promoting social change, human rights, and the power of entrepreneurship for a better world.
