Research and Technology Engineer

Paula Olivio is an Artificial Intelligence Research Engineer at Embraer, where she focuses on investigating AI/ML technologies for aircraft safety-critical systems through proofs of concept.

She is a dedicated professional who has served as an international committee volunteer and vice-chair for the SAE G-34 (AI for aviation), contributing to the development of new standards for safety-critical systems with AI solutions.

With a strong background in Integrated Vehicle Health Management (IVHM), Big Data, and Data Science, Paula has worked on projects aimed at enhancing fleet operational efficiency and implementing predictive maintenance strategies for aircraft.

Paula's educational achievements include a Doutorado in Computer Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA), a Master's degree focused on failure prognosis for landing gear retraction using particle filters algorithm, and a degree in Computer Software Engineering from Centro Universitário Fundação Santo André.

She also has certifications in TOGAF and has held positions such as Research and Technology Engineer at Embraer, Vice-chair for the G34 Aerospace AI Implementation and Certification Committee at SAE International, as well as roles in the Engineering Specialization Program (PEE) at Embraer and as a Service Engineer at Ericsson.
