Highlights
This is the greatest lesson in LinkedIn growth and you can’t change my mind.
A journey of persistence and learning that led to real engagement.
Here’s how it happened ↓
In the beginning of my LinkedIn journey, my posts received no engagement.
(I even found myself asking friends to like my posts 😆)
However, after persistently posting for 9 months, I've gained insight into why those posts didn't resonate.
Here are a few things I learned that changed my approach forever:
→ Know your target audience
Understanding who you are speaking to is crucial. Without this, your message will not connect.
→ Have a single, clear message
Posts with a clear, focused message perform better. Avoid trying to say too much at once.
→ Build a community
Engagement comes from community. Spend time connecting and interacting with others.
→ Engage with other people's posts
Show interest in others' content. Engagement is a two-way street.
→ Show your personality
Let your true self shine through your posts. People connect with authenticity.
→ Use Call to Actions (CTAs)
Encourage your audience to engage with your posts. Ask them to comment, share, or like.
The initial months on LinkedIn are a period of discovery and understanding these elements.
Don't anticipate engagement until you have clarity on all these points.
Have you tried staging?
Stage and test to avoid the blow of cyberattacks. 🌪
Staging environments are essential as they provide a controlled setting to test security measures before they are applied to production systems.
👮♂️Effective staging is super important to keep your data and systems safe. Some of the perks?
Have a copy of your environment, also handy when running patches or scripts that you might not be sure of the outcome and escape the fear of the word "rollback".
🕵♀️ Or using them on a sandbox isolated sealed closed environment to test malwares that are making noise in the market and stress test the environment versus the malware to observe the "wind power before the storm hits".
You get to thoroughly test everything, reduce risks, meet compliance standards, and quickly tackle any new threats that pop up.
A copy of production settings to test and validate security measures before they are deployed live can save time and headaches.
By making staging a part of your cybersecurity routine, you can seriously boost your security game and dodge those nasty cyberattacks. 🎣
🔬 Staging environments are a must-have because they let you test security measures in a controlled setting before going live.
