Pete Tenereillo is a seasoned tech entrepreneur known for creating and scaling Trapster, a popular app dubbed the 'Waze before Waze,' which boasted an impressive user base of 22 million before being acquired by Nokia in 2010. Beyond Trapster, Pete is currently focused on disrupting location technology for iOS and Android platforms. With a strong background in pioneering internet products, he has been a founding team member for several groundbreaking ventures, including the development of the Cisco PIX Firewall, the first Server Load Balancer, and the first Content Router, among others. Pete's track record includes four successful exits, involving notable companies like Cisco, NORTEL, and Nokia, and he holds an impressive portfolio of 18 patents. Pete pursued his education in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science, earning his BS degree from San Diego State University. Over the years, he has held key roles in various organizations, including being the Founder/CEO of PathSense, reclaiming ownership of Trapster in 2017 after its initial sale to Nokia, serving as the GM of Data Partnerships at Life360, and contributing as a key employee and co-inventor for companies like Pharsalia, Alteon, Nortel, and NTI/Cisco Systems. Pete's entrepreneurial journey also includes founding and creating BigWave Software, which was later sold to an undisclosed buyer.
