One of the big trends at Global Pet Expo has been the boom in alternative-to-raw diets (e.g., freeze-dried, air-dried, steam-dried, cold-pressed, and slow-cooked).
We've also seen many companies coming up with innovative ways to make these diets more affordable to the consumer.
Primal Pet Foods has been one of the manufacturers spearheading this movement, with their launch of "Kibble in the Raw," which I posted about earlier this year (https://lnkd.in/epyaF7vP).
Yesterday, I had a chance to chat with Matt Koss and Dr. James Templeman of Primal, and talk about how Kibble in the Raw has been received since its launch.
It's now in ~1,000 stores, and looks to be capitalizing on its potential to make this category accessible to more pet parents.
