Oh I with I could have been there to see that one... I do find it interesting that the "new school" is acting like this is the first time a currency has ever been invented. Of course they also argue the the "old school" just doesn't get it. Well agree to disagree, but fun fact: what has happened (eventually) to literally every single currency in the history of the world with respect to gold? (Spoiler: it went to zero). Yep, some faster, some slower, and until BTC and its cousins also go to 0 you can definitely have fun with it, make millions, lose millions, and act like you are the smartest person in the room... though I wish all that intelligence could be brought to bear to solve actual problems the world faces...
What a great perspective. So AI, Big Data, Machine Learning, etc. will finally be the breakthrough that allows us to model the future with accuracy and no adverse consequences. If it isn't, then we'll just do it with faster computers!
