Peter Robinson

Full Professor at The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine

Peter Robinson is a Full Professor of Computational Biology at The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine, with a focus on algorithm development for various genomics applications.

He is the Principal Investigator (PI) of the Human Phenotype Ontology project and has expertise in areas such as exome and genome sequencing, RNA-seq, Immunosequencing, Capture Hi-C, and ChIP-seq.

With a background as a certified Pediatrician and 15 years of experience in Medical Genetics, Peter Robinson has made significant contributions to the field. He has discovered multiple Mendelian disease-associated genes and conducted extensive research on genotype-phenotype correlations and pathobiology in Marfan syndrome.

Peter Robinson obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Columbia College. He has previously worked at Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Institute for Human and Medical Genetics, and held positions as a Professor and PI at Charite Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
