Peter Sattler

Peter Sattler has a diverse background in economics, marketing research, and tech entrepreneurship.

He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Economics with applications to Marketing from Northwestern University and a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) from Lehigh University.

Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor of the Practice at Duke University in the Department of Global Studies.

Previously, Peter Sattler held various roles such as Senior Lecturer of Economics at Duke Kunshan University, Economics Lecturer at Shanghai United International School, and Economics Lecturer at Bright Scholar Education Holdings Ltd.

He has also taught Economics, Marketing Research, and Analytics at Northwestern University and was a Principal Consultant at Marketing R.A.S.

Peter's entrepreneurial spirit led him to found one tech company which grew to over 100 employees and was eventually acquired by NEC. For this achievement, he was recognized as an Ernst and Young/Inc Magazine Entrepreneur of the Year.

Throughout his career, Peter has contributed to multiple academic institutions as an Assistant Professor of Marketing at SUNY at Buffalo, Assistant Professor at University of Texas at Dallas, and Adjunct Instructor of Economics at Northwestern University.

His industry experience includes serving as a Partner at Metrohaven, Inc, and as the Founder/CEO of Swan Technologies. He also worked as an Advanced Engineer at HRB-Singer.

With his extensive background, Peter Sattler brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his current role in academia, where he continues to inspire and educate students in the fields of economics and global studies.
