Assistant Director of Student Projects at Florida Institute of Technology

Peter Zappala is currently the Director of Operations and Projects for the College of Engineering and Science (COES) at the Florida Institute of Technology (Florida Tech), a position he has held since March 2022. Prior to this role, he served as the Assistant Director of Student Projects at Florida Tech from October 2019 to March 2022. His earlier roles at the university include Research Assistant and Resident Director, among others.123

Zappala holds a dual master’s degree in Engineering Management and Systems Engineering, as well as a graduate certificate in Energy Systems Engineering. He earned his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, all from Florida Tech. He has also been recognized for his contributions at Florida Tech, being named MVP for August 2023.3
