Dr. Phanish Puranam is the Roland Berger Chair Professor of Strategy & Organization Design at INSEAD, where he also directs the 'AI for Business' program. Previously, he held a distinguished position as the School Chair Professor of Strategy & Entrepreneurship at London Business School, overseeing the School's PhD program and the Aditya Birla India Centre. With a background in management and applied economics, Dr. Puranam is a prominent figure in academia, known for his extensive research on organizational dynamics and his contributions to prestigious academic journals.

Throughout his career, Dr. Puranam has received recognition for his scholarly work, securing international awards and competitive research grants in various domains, including the social and natural sciences. His current research and teaching interests revolve around the impact of algorithms on organizational structures and practices. Additionally, he actively engages in consultancy projects aimed at leveraging advanced analytics to enhance organizational development, serving clients from both private and public sectors as well as non-profit organizations.

Dr. Puranam's educational journey has seen him traverse prestigious institutions around the globe. He earned his PhD from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and has undertaken visiting appointments at notable academic centers like ISB, Wharton, Oxford, and the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. With a strong foundation in engineering and international business, coupled with his expertise in organization design, analytics, and corporate strategy, Dr. Puranam brings a multidisciplinary approach to his research, teaching, and consultancy endeavors.
