Very excited to share that this morning the New York City Department of Transportation announced that the micromobility program will be launching in the World's Borough - Queens - later this Summer!
Lime is thrilled to continue our expansion in New York City after a wildly successful program in the #Bronx has proven shared #scooters' utility and staying power.
To the City's credit, the shared e-scooter program in #NYC has leaned heavily on serving communities that have long received disproportionate investment in transportation services. The communities in the Bronx that we serve, and those in Queens that we will have the opportunity to serve starting this Summer, are the definition of transit deserts. It is our hope that Lime and #micromobility can be a key part of the larger solution that adds critical connection to everything from work, education, recreation, healthcare and more.
