Philip Oosthuizen

Philip J. Oosthuizen is an accomplished educator with a diverse background in drama and education.

He holds a Baccalaureus Technologiae Drama degree (cum laude) from Tshwane University of Technology in South Africa.

In addition to his undergraduate studies, he excelled in a teacher's licentiate program at the South African Speech and Drama College.

Philip has a solid academic foundation, having completed a Postgraduate Certificate in International Education and a Masters in Educational Leadership and Management, both with distinction from the University of Nottingham.

With nearly a decade of teaching experience, Philip spent six years in China where he garnered multiple outstanding teacher awards and held leadership roles in educational associations.

He has been a speaker at prestigious events such as the Simon Fraser University's TEDx conference in Vancouver, advocating for the inclusion of drama education in school curriculums.

Currently, Philip serves as the Head of Drama, Head of Alverstone House, and ICC Pastoral Co-ordinator at Nanwai King's College School Wuxi, a prominent international school in partnership with King's College School in Wimbledon, Nanjing Foreign Language School, and Dipont Education.

Philip's passion for drama stems from his belief in its power to facilitate authentic dialogue and self-expression, cultivated during his upbringing in South Africa.

Besides his educational pursuits, Philip remains active in performing and writing during his leisure time.
