Do you have a spirit animal? We produced a music video and submitted it to the first #ProjectOddessy competition hosted by Civit.
Normally we run 30 minute competitions to make a 30 second video ... so 5 days of production gave us a chance to push harder on character and style consistency, running a workflow end-to-end through our own platform, 10zebra.

How: First Joshua Logan created the song with Udio. Then yesterday, I teamed up with my brother create a sequence of 10 shots, which we ran through our ai workflows from our web app.
Why? At 10zebra we have been running competitions to see what a team can create in 30 mins. So you start with an empty template set to the song, and then go, go, go. As a result, things are more raw, less color graded, and more representative of what pops out of the AI workflow. IMO the best work is alway a union of expert creators + AI resources. 30 minutes defines a fair KPI of quality / time. It's also a lot of fun.
What I like: treating "video as a prompt to create more video" is very liberating during exploration. Text prompts were very similar across the video, so it's the pairing of the video clip and ai workflow that drove the results. Mentally, as a creator, you spend more time "in camera" figuring out how to film the mannequin, with different camera angles, postures and lighting, so that it could align with the lyrics in the song.
What I don't like: The motion is "interesting" but overkill and all over the place. This is not the right aesthetic, for my own taste. Don't get me wrong - it's lots of fun, and chaotic as it is, even this model has a place in our culture. It's liberating to move fast, ignore perfection, and curate a style. But it is hard to express the subtlety that is in my head. This will improve. (Time to ship some more workflows)
Post production was limited to cropping one of the ten clips to avoid an egregious extra hand. And then alternating between the original clips and the ai clips, to get you a sense of what we "put in" to drive the ai workflow.
As the founder of 10zebra I should say: this workflow is available now! You can run it and create videos like this - just from our webpage! I am so excited that we can offer this. And proud, that as a bootstrapped founder (Look mom, no VC!), we are ahead of the curve.
All of this is possible because of the open source community. It's impressive how community driven coding is ahead of many closed source approaches, and how even big tech is releasing open models.
