Pierre-Yves Oger

WASH Specialist (Public Health Emergencies), UNICEF HQ

Pierre-Yves Oger is a civil engineer and a specialist in public health and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). With over two decades of experience in humanitarian operations and development projects across more than 20 countries, Pierre-Yves has worked with various organizations including the Red Cross, UN agencies, NGOs, and the private sector. His expertise lies in humanitarian emergency interventions, public health, cholera prevention, cluster coordination, humanitarian policies, and training. Pierre-Yves is multilingual, being fluent in French, English, and Spanish. He holds a Master of Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, a Master of Research in International Relations from Sciences Po Paris, and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from EPF Graduate School of Engineering. Previously, he held roles as a WASH Specialist at UNICEF HQ, focused on knowledge management for COVID-19 response, as well as in regional WASH positions within UNICEF and as a consultant at various international organizations. Pierre-Yves also served as the Head of Emergencies at the Department for humanitarian and development programs partnerships at Fondation Veolia.
