Pietro Micheli

Professor of Business Performance and Innovation at Warwick Business School

Pietro Micheli is an academic and consultant specializing in strategy implementation, performance management, and design thinking.

He currently holds the position of Professor of Business Performance and Innovation at Warwick Business School, where he also serves as the Course Director of the top-ranked Distance Learning MBA program by the Financial Times.

With extensive experience in academia, Pietro has also been associated with Cranfield School of Management and the University of Bologna as a Visiting Fellow.

His research interests encompass strategy formulation, performance measurement and management, and design and innovation management with a focus on design thinking as a problem-solving approach.

Pietro has a rich consultancy background, working with organizations like BP, Shell, Emirates, and governmental bodies like the UK Department of Health and the Council of Europe.

He has been instrumental in over 60 organizations as a consultant, mentor, and facilitator, and has previously served as the Director of the Italian Commission for public sector evaluation in Rome.

Currently, his research explores the connection between design thinking, technological innovation, and societal well-being, along with strategies for implementation in complex and dynamic environments.

Pietro Micheli's academic contributions include three books and numerous articles in respected publications, showcasing his expertise in areas such as innovation management and organizational performance.
