Thank you everyone who contributed to our TraceTogether (TT) token collection drive! Earlier this week, we concluded our collection drive with more than 600,000 tokens collected across 108 collection points in community clubs/centres. A portion of these tokens will be stored away and refurbished for future use should digital contact tracing be needed in the future, while the rest will be recycled.
GovTech Singapore would like to thank our agency partners People's Association and National Environment Agency for collaborating on this collection drive, enabling us to refurbish/recycle such tokens and reduce e-waste on our journey towards a more sustainable Singapore.

Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) will soon be issuing digitised Long-Term Passes (Long-Term Visit Passes, Student’s Passes and Dependant’s Passes) through various digital channels, including the Singpass app, joining Identity Cards and drivers license already on the app.
For long term visitors who require a downloaded copy of their Long-Term Pass (LTP) or do not have access to Singpass, they can also use FileSG to retrieve these digitalised passes. FileSG is an initiative by our GovTech Government Digital Services team, providing a secure digital document management platform that allows members of the public to easily access and download documents issued by the government - no more losing your physical documents or cards!
After downloading the LTPs, the authenticity of the digital document can be verified using OpenAttestation (OA), an authentication framework developed by GovTech that employs distributed ledger technology for secure verification. We have also used the OA platform for verification in other areas like educational certificates and vaccination certificates.
Working with ICA, our suite of GovTech Singapore products has enabled an end-to-end solution to digitalising LTPs across a range of user personas, from the digital natives to those that require a physical copy, while ensuring high assurance 😊
