Pita Limjaroenrat is a prominent Thai politician and former leader of the Move Forward Party. Born on September 5, 1980, in Bangkok, Thailand, Pita has had a diverse career spanning business, politics, and academia.8
Political Career
Pita entered politics in 2019 as a member of the Future Forward Party and was elected to the House of Representatives.8 After the dissolution of Future Forward, he became the leader of the Move Forward Party from 2020 to 2023.8 In the May 2023 general election, Pita led the Move Forward Party to win the most votes and parliamentary seats.26
Despite this victory, Pita faced legal challenges that temporarily suspended him from parliament. However, on January 24, 2024, he was cleared of allegations regarding media shareholdings and allowed to return to his duties as a Member of Parliament.51
