Highlights
Over the last 2 weeks, we have gone over each and every application, and responded to all with interview invites/ rejection emails (does not include feather grant applications). There were over 3000 of these piled up over the last 2 months.
Wanted to share the process at gC as both Abhishek & I have been receiving applications through unorganised channels like email/ WhatsApp/ LinkedIn, and it's hard for us to respond to messages there.
The best way to apply to gC is through our website. It has never so happened that we haven't responded to an application form that has been filled correctly. gradcapital.in has the same form links as mentioned below:
- $40k for 4% form: https://lnkd.in/djRV8Zyj
- Atomic fellowship form: https://lnkd.in/dBM86sp6
I want to share some more on our process to ensure that interview invites and rejection emails are sent on time. We review applications on a monthly basis. Our monthly cycle starts on the 15th of every month. If you applied before the 10th of a given month, you can expect to hear back from us by the 15th of the same month. If you applied after the 10th of a given month, you'll hear back from us by the 15th of the next month. We are always accepting applications on a rolling basis, and conduct a cohort during summers for portfolio. If we have rejected you today, please spend 8-12 weeks before re-applying on our website.
We are announcing Feather Grants (for students) to help you bring your wildest ideas to life. We're giving away INR 15k (no strings attached, we will UPI you the money) to turn your next dream into a reality. Check out our public dashboard at feathergrants.in for inspiration from other dreamers. You can vlog a train journey, hack some musical tunes, or even create an Oscar-worthy short film - we're down for whatever makes your heart sing.
Don’t sleep on INR 15k - you’d be surprised what this money can do. Here are just a few ideas:
- Fly round-trip from India to Singapore for a debating competition
- Strum some strings with a new instrument if you are a multi-instrumentalist
- Buy new sports equipment for your next national level match
- Up your podcasting game with new camera accessories
- Purchase fresh costumes for a dance video
- Explore the Himalayas for a week to uncover its local history
It's incredible how a small amount of money can make such a big difference. It encourages you to take risks and chase your dreams without worrying about the consequences.
We've been working on this project for a few weeks, not because of the technical details, but because we wanted to truly understand the impact that self-belief can have on students and how Feather Grants can support that. Now, we're ready to launch and watch the magic unfold.
Our mission is to provide thousands of grants for years to come. Visit feathergrants.in to check out some of the ideas and submit your ideas as well.
