Priscilla Carmini

Priscilla Carmini is a compassionate, dedicated, and responsible graduate student with a keen interest in academic libraries, cultural heritage institutions, archives, and records management settings. She is particularly passionate about open access, accessible publishing, institutional repositories, and program evaluation. Priscilla is focused on assessing, developing, and leveraging library publishing services to enhance the equity and sustainability of open access faculty and student journals.

Priscilla pursued her education at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Information, where she studied MI (Master of Information), MMST (Master of Museum Studies), and Information Science/Studies. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences (Honours) from the University of Guelph and completed her High School Diploma at the Dubai American Academy.

Throughout her academic journey, Priscilla has been actively involved in various organizations. She served as a Graduate Student Library Assistant at Information Technology Services (ITS) at the University of Toronto, Student Curator at the Museums of Mississauga, and Editor In Chief at The iJournal. Additionally, she gained experience as a University College Book Sale Operations Assistant at the University of Toronto, Veterinary Receptionist, and Kennel Attendant at South Peel Veterinary Hospital, PRAISE Research Volunteer at The Hospital for Sick Children, and Sales Coordinator at Travel Impresarios.
