Programme Policy Officer/Protection and Gender chez World Food Programme

Prosper Gbetie is a dedicated humanitarian professional with a diverse background in responding to natural disasters and crises worldwide.

Beginning his international humanitarian career in 2003 with the FICR in Mali, Prosper has since been involved in missions across countries like Niger, Senegal, Madagascar, Guinea Conakry, Cameroon, Haiti, and Burkina Faso, responding to floods, cyclones, earthquakes, and food crises.

His experience includes working with organizations such as the FICR, Irish Red Cross, and IEDA Relief, showcasing his expertise in disaster response and humanitarian aid.

Beyond his humanitarian work, Prosper also actively engages in community initiatives, having founded and formalized the CEBCAJ NGO (Citoyens Engagés à la Base Contre l'Analphabetisme Juridique) in 2004, and managing a restaurant since 2018.

Currently serving as a Programme Policy Officer focusing on Protection and Gender at the World Food Programme, Prosper's educational background in Law and Risk and Disaster Management has greatly contributed to his success in international missions.
