R Romano [IOM] is a seasoned professional with over 18 years of experience in humanitarian and development work in complex emergencies, conflict, and post-conflict areas, having worked with both INGOs and Intergovernmental Organizations across Albania, Darfur, and East Africa.

Specializing in migration, protection, and human rights, R Romano is a consultant and project manager with a wealth of expertise in migration issues, trends, and programs, as well as human rights law, humanitarian law, international law, and internal displacement.

With a strong background in protection and human rights, particularly focusing on internally displaced persons (IDPs), migrants, and vulnerable groups, R Romano also possesses extensive knowledge and practical experience in conflict management, conflict resolution, conflict assessment, good governance, and peacebuilding in post-conflict scenarios.

Education-wise, R Romano holds a Master's Degree in Human Rights, International Law, Conflict Management from Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, Italy, an Undergraduate Degree in Political Sciences and International Law from the University La Sapienza in Rome, Italy, and a Certificate in International Migration Studies from Georgetown University.

Professionally, R Romano currently serves as a Migration expert at the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
