Highlights
A couple of weeks ago, Abbie Morris of Compare Ethics posted about some key questions to ask when interviewing for a sustainability manager role to determine if the company is dedicated to real impact. It really resonated, so now, she has kindly turned that into a deeper dive for my Owning It substack, which is dedicated to supporting those working in, or wanting to work in, sustainable fashion.
The questions include:
-
Can I speak to someone who has led a major sustainability project here?
-
What are the company’s long-term sustainability goals?
-
Have any sustainability managers left recently? Could I speak to one?
-
How do senior leaders view sustainability?
-
Is director performance linked to sustainability outcomes?
-
Could you share a recent business case for sustainability that was approved? What convinced the business to support it?
Number 5 is undoubtedly my favourite. You can read the full piece here: https://lnkd.in/e5HWwzwx
Thank you Abbie and team ❤️
