Most of the best experiences in my life have come from getting to know people from many different lived experiences. It has made me a better consultant and a better person, because real estate strategy is ultimately a space that should be driven by sociology, and when done successfully, is beneficial to both the investor bottom line AND the community it’s located in. It starts with listening and building sincere relationships based on respect and a curiosity to connect. And it makes for very fun get-togethers - when you have friends unknowingly making new friends with backgrounds they never thought they could connect with! While I left a stellar diverse community in Los Angeles, I’m hopeful to continue building that here as well. Thank you to those who have graciously extended a conversation with me as a new Hoosier.

This FREE event offers an opportunity to learn more about diverse populations through conversations with persons who have lived experiences of stereotyping, biases, and prejudices.
At a Human Library, you can borrow "A Human Book" and have a conversation with the Book about their story. You will have the opportunity to "unjudge someone," ask questions, possibly learn something new, and perhaps talk to someone you normally would not have the opportunity to meet otherwise. In this safe place, you have a chance to examine and explore your own conscious and subconscious biases.
You might choose from titles such as Neuro-diverse, Intersex, Survivor of Domestic Abuse, Addict, Transgender, Adoption, Depression, Ex-Vangelical, Suicide Survivor, Jewish or many others.
