Raghid Mardini

Robotics Researcher at UC Berkeley

Raghid Mardini is an accomplished Software Engineer with a rich background in the robotics industry.

He played a key role in developing, testing, and documenting the software for a medical exoskeleton device designed for Spinal Cord injury, which achieved FDA clearance in the first quarter of 2019.

Raghid is highly proficient in programming languages such as C++ and Python, with a strong understanding of Controls and dynamics.

He holds a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with High Honors from UC Berkeley, further solidifying his engineering expertise.

Raghid has a diverse educational background, including studying Mechanical Engineering at both UC Berkeley and Santa Rosa Junior College, as well as pursuing a Master's degree in Robotics and Controls at UC Berkeley.

Throughout his career, Raghid has been associated with prestigious organizations like Movably Inc, where he served as a Robotics Software Consultant, and the Embodied Dexterity Group at UC Berkeley, where he worked as a Robotics Researcher.

His earlier roles include being a Lead Software Engineer and a Software and Controls Engineer at suitX, Mechanical Engineering Intern at Swagelok Northern California, and an Undergraduate Researcher at UC Berkeley SurgiCal Robotics Lab.

Raghid has also contributed to Maker Media Inc. as an Engineering Intern and has had teaching roles at Santa Rosa Junior College, where he served as a Teaching Assistant for Engineering Circuits and a Peer Tutor at the Teaching Fellows Program.

Additionally, he has been involved in projects such as coordinating the Poster Project at Mathematics, Engineering & Science Achievement (MESA) and working as a Materials Engineering Lab Assistant at Santa Rosa Junior College's Teaching Fellows Program.
