Raheel Waqar

CEO - Founder - Behavioral Designer - Design Thinker - Impact Maker

Raheel Waqar is a passionate individual dedicated to empowering disadvantaged communities and driving positive change. He is the CEO and Co-founder of White Rice, a behavior design agency that leverages design thinking and behavioral science to address societal challenges.

With over 20 years of experience, Raheel holds certifications as a Behavioral Designer, Design Thinker, and Social Impact Strategist. He has led White Rice to assist over 100 clients in implementing 500+ programs across 13 Sustainable Development Goals, impacting over 10 million lives in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.

Raheel's contributions to the field have been recognized with awards such as the Australian Business Leadership Excellence Award and being named one of Asia's top 100 entrepreneurs under 30 by the Foundation for Youth Social Entrepreneurship. He is also a Bohem Media Fellow.

In addition to his role at White Rice, Raheel is actively involved in various capacities as an advisor, mentor, facilitator, board member, and consultant for both local and international institutions. He has expertise in areas such as ethnographic and behavioral research, idea-generation, prototyping, and co-creation of innovative solutions.

Raheel's educational background includes A-levels from Alta Vista College, O levels from Islamabad School of Arts and Sciences, and advanced studies in Social Innovation and Social Impact Strategy from the University of Washington and the University of Pennsylvania respectively. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing & HR from the University of Southern Queensland.

His speaking engagements cover a variety of topics including design thinking for change, behavioral science application for social good, cognitive biases, creativity, innovation, and impactful storytelling.
