Rama Adithya Varanasi is a dedicated Human-Computer Interaction researcher with a focus on understanding how technologies influence work practices in underserved working communities. He delves into technology-enabled transformations within these communities to ensure equitable work outcomes. Rama's work, featured in prestigious conferences like CHI, CSCW, ICTD, & COMPASS, impacts over 1500 underserved service workers. His contributions have been recognized with awards such as the Engaged Cornell fellowship, QuiIRI dissertation award, and Digital Life Initiative fellowship.

Rama pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Human-Computer Interaction from Cornell University, a Master’s Degree in Human-Computer Interaction from Penn State University, and a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Information Technology from SRM IST Chennai.

Throughout his career, Rama has been associated with renowned organizations such as New York University, Google, Microsoft (as both a Research Intern and Visiting Researcher), and held teaching and research roles at Cornell University and Penn State University. Moreover, he has experience as a UX Designer at S&P Capital IQ.
