The good news?
Getting through these events can be incredibly effective if you have a strategy!
Here’s what going on in my mind after I've booked my passes along with Srivatsan Venkatesan
→ Know the audience: How do I make an impression as a startup founder being there for the first time. → Thinking of the intimate round tables and dinners for relationship building I need to attend → How do I socialize, but not pitch–– what would genuine conversations sound like?
The key? Intentional engagement!
📌 Here's how I plan to do:
- Identify your goals for the event—networking, learning, or pitching?
- Definitely make time to connect with speakers and industry leaders face-to-face.
✍️ Tactics for success: → Not just buy a ticket and show up—I want to plan my interactions in advance! → Set up meetings with key individuals you want to connect with before the trip. → Follow up after the event to keep the conversation going.
