Proud to be an author of one of the largest studies examining how digital tools can support people living with HIV --> 40,000 patients across 15 states. Incredibly, patients were 7.4 times more likely to go to their next appointment! The preprint discusses how our amazing team at Healthvana helped retain patients in care, which is particularly challenging for patients with chronic conditions from underserved/communities of color, especially in HIV care, which requires four visits a year for labs, prescription refills, and more. In our study, 44% of patients were Black, highlighting the importance of addressing disparities wherever we can.

The biggest takeaway that's not in the study: building trust in healthcare happens one interaction at a time. We've used digital tools to engage tens of millions since we started the company, and now we're leveraging AI to build even stronger relationships and trust. Our new approach instantly educates, navigates, and supports people, leading to better health outcomes (teaser for an upcoming AI study on one of the largest deployments of patient-facing AI in the country).

A huge thanks to our innovative healthcare provider partner, AHF (the largest HIV/AIDS organization in the world), and to the authors: Adam Sukhija-Cohen, M. Foxworth Blasingame, PhD., Henna Patani (MPH, BDS) and Kathy Linh Vu.

Great feature on Healthvana's Conversational AI that's helping patients and their healthcare providers across 15 states! It's one of the largest patient-facing deployments in the country and the two patient conversations in the article showcase how serious ("struggling with my relationship with sex") or playful ("what if it's raining men?") questions are to the AI.

Appreciate the thoughtful quotes from Whitney Engeran (AHF), Nirav R. Shah (Stanford University) and Harold Phillips (former head of HIV for the White House)...and most proud of how our team is carefully and thoughtfully using AI to help improve healthcare.
