After three beautiful, challenging, rewarding and absolutely exciting years as the CEO of FilmFiji it is now time for me to move on. I can’t begin to describe what an honor and career highlight this role has been, and how proud I feel to have worked with the amazing team at the film commission, it’s Board members, Hon. Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, and with so many members of the Fijian government to help develop the audio visual sector in Fiji: bringing back productions after the very difficult Covid years and the very challenging rebate issues, implementing programs that support and recognize the importance of local filmmakers and scriptwriters, working with native land owners, improving policies and procedures that resulted in doubling Fiji’s ever best annual Net Spend, and in general regaining the trust of producers and working on the fundamentals of the commission with the goal of making Fiji one of the best tropical locations in the World… what a fun ride this has been.
Here comes a long line of thanks ;)

Tremendously proud of the whole team at FilmFiji for their dedication to this project, and a BIG thank you to Lana Smith and Jone Robertson for doing the heavy lifting and getting these programs off the ground! It has been two years of hard work to reach this point where we can support Fijian voices and filmmakers through our Script Development Program and Producers Accelerator Program.
Thank you also to Media Mentors Australia for your commitment and support, I can't wait to see the results of this collaboration! Esther Coleman-Hawkins and Denise Eriksen ;)
And of course, many many thanks to the European Union and to the Secretariat of the OACPS – Organization of Africa, Caribbean and Pacific States - for making these programs possible.
