Rania Mardini

Rania Uwaydah Mardini is a highly accomplished professional with a background in finance and accounting. She obtained her BBA with Distinction in 1996 and an MBA in Finance in 1999 from the American University of Beirut (AUB).

Rania is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with outstanding scores, having passed the CPA Examination in 1999 in California and maintaining an active CPA license. She also holds a Lebanese CPA license acquired in 2010.

Throughout her career, Rania worked at Ernst & Young (EY) in Beirut before transitioning to a faculty position at the Olayan School of Business (OSB) at AUB. She is a core course coordinator and advisor at OSB.

In addition to her academic role, Rania is a Certified Fraud Examiner and an Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Business Valuation and Economic Loss Analysis. She is actively involved in various committees and organizations such as the AICPA, the ACFE, and the Audit Committee of Transparency International's Lebanese chapter.

Rania's expertise extends to consultancy roles, having served as a consultant for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and authored a case on corporate governance for the International Finance Corporation (IFC). She has also co-authored scholarly articles and managerial accounting textbooks.

With a passion for teaching, Rania has conducted workshops and seminars on accounting-related topics and content development. Her teaching experience covers a wide range of subjects in the accounting profession.
