Raymond Levitt

Operating Partner, Blackhorn Ventures

Raymond Levitt is an experienced professional with a strong background in civil engineering, construction management, and entrepreneurship.

He joined Blackhorn Ventures as an Operating Partner in 2017, leading investments in startups focused on breakthrough technologies in the built environment, transportation, logistics, and energy sectors.

As the President of the Farmers Investment Club, he oversees angel investments in early-stage startups.

Raymond holds a Civil Engineering undergraduate degree from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa, as well as MS and PhD degrees in Construction Management from Stanford University.

Prior to his role at Blackhorn, he had a successful academic career, teaching at MIT and Stanford, culminating in his retirement as the Kumagai Professor of Engineering, Emeritus, at Stanford University.

He co-founded several software startups in the Built Environment sector and directed Stanford's Advanced Project Management program, focusing on organization design, strategy, finance, governance, and entrepreneurship.
