International Speaker - Girl's Education - Refugee Advocate - Trauma Healing & Author

Rebecca Deng is a South Sudanese-American storyteller with a passion for post-war recovery and rebuilding lives affected by conflict, drawing from her experience as a former 'Lost Girl' of Sudan.

Her areas of expertise include peace and conflict mitigation, international development, refugees and trauma healing, community development, fundraising, project management, and the empowerment of women and girls.

Rebecca holds a Master of Arts in Ministry/Organizational Leadership from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in International Development Studies & Minor in Social Work from Calvin University.

She has been actively involved in various organizations, including serving as an author at Rebecca Deng Media, LLC, a Partnership Associate with the Trauma Healing Institute at American Bible Society, and a Refugee Congress delegate of District of Columbia at UNHCR Washington. She has also held roles such as Program Development Associate, Consultant, and Intern at the American Bible Society, Advisor at Jonglei Peace Initiative-North America, Referendum Center Manager at IOM, English Instructor Trainer and Teacher at Sudan Interior Mission, and Intern at Bethany Christian Services.
