I am so proud to announce the attainment of my Master of Arts degree in Spirituality, Culture and Health from WMU after four dedicated years of study.

This innovative program advances awareness of the importance culture and belief exert in healthcare matters. It teaches healthcare providers how to better understand and work with patients from all backgrounds. It provides strategies for increasing cultural humility and inclusivity. It challenges assumptions about how culture and belief impact health, healing and the body.

As a member of the national task force on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations in 2020-2021 my learning became a conduit for promoting positive change. I am fiercely proud of that work and even more excited for what is yet to come.
