Rebekka Wyler is an accomplished professional with a diverse background spanning various fields. After completing her Matura, she worked for a year at Credit Suisse. She then pursued studies in general history, economics, and Nordic studies. Throughout her academic journey, she remained active in the workforce, including a two-year stint as an assistant at the Statistical Seminar. Since 2003, Rebekka has been involved in the field of Archive & Records Management. Her academic pursuits led her to complete a doctorate between 2008 and 2011, focusing on 'Swiss Trade Unions and Europe.' Following this, from 2011 to 2018, she held a position at the State Archives of the Canton of Zurich, overseeing archival formation and municipal archives. Subsequently, from 2018 to 2024, she served as the Co-Secretary General of the Swiss SP (Social Democratic Party Switzerland). Rebekka has been actively engaged in politics since 1994, initially in a part-time capacity until 2018. She held various roles from 2006 to 2016 in the Zurich City Parliament, including positions in the Social Commission, Audit Committee, and as the Vice President of the SP Faction. Since 2017, Rebekka has been a Municipal Councilor in Erstfeld, handling executive responsibilities, initially overseeing departments of economics and education, and as of 2023, serving as the Finance Director.
